Established in the 1940s, the Tampa Audubon Society is an active chapter that serves Hillsborough County, the greater Tampa Bay area and its suburbs, from Citrus Park to Bayshore, Odessa to Plant City. Our mission is to conserve and restore our ecosystems, focusing on birds, wildlife, and their habitats, through education, advocacy, and community involvement.
Birding Without Borders
Birding in the US and Abroad

It’s easy to begin birdwatching in your own backyard and while traveling. The Audubon Society provides a lot of resources to get you started. The most basic equipment for spotting and appreciating birds is a good pair of binoculars, a notepad, and an identification guidebook.
