Tampa Audubon is has ongoing volunteer opportunities in several exciting areas. We appreciate our volunteers!

Lettuce Lake Volunteer Coordinator

Tampa Audubon Society (TAS) has strong ties with Lettuce Lake Park and the Joel Jackson Nature Center. TAS is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator for the center.

The Volunteer Coordinator would onboard and train new docents, and be the point of contact for all docents and park/TAS relations.

We are also seeking docents for the center. Docents volunteer during weekends and holidays to help answer questions and guide park attendees.

For more information, contact Jessica Parrish.

Photographs

Tampa Audubon is asking photographers to help us build a library of bird and nature photos we can use to educate and entertain our readers. It’s a great way for you to be recognized for your talents! Read more.

Bird Surveys

Volunteers are needed for bird Surveys at Schultz Nature Preserve. Contact Mary Keith or Mic McCarty.

Nature Speakers

Tampa Audubon Society often is often asked for representatives to speak to groups about birds, Hillsborough County natural history, and various nature topics. Are you knowledgeable in these areas and willing to be a speaker? Please reach out to Jessica Parrish to be placed on a list of potential speakers.

Birdability

Do you want to take part in community science by helping review parks for accessibility? Can you write reviews on our local parks, from an accessibility perspective?
