"Natural Hillsborough: An Audubon Adventure"
January 16 - March 6, 2024

This 8-week series is presented every year by the Tampa Audubon Society in collaboration with the University of South Florida's Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI). Local experts introduce class members to significant and interesting topics on the natural resources of Hillsborough County, highlighting aspects that are special and unique to the region. Birds, habitats, geology, wildlife, native plants, and other topics will be presented in clear, easily understood and engaging fashions, using photographs and stories to depict the natural environment of the region.

Register for the class online at https://www.usf.edu/continuing-education/olli/resources/how-to-register.aspx. A list of recommended resources will be provided. Each lecture is presented at the Joel Jackson Nature Center at Lettuce Lake Park on Tuesday mornings from 10 am to noon. If recorded, recordings will be made available on our YouTube channel. Field trips for OLLI and Audubon members may be added as optional activities, in accordance with the County’s COVID-19 guidelines. These optional activities will be announced in the first class, if applicable. The Tampa Audubon Society reserves the right to adjust the speaker schedule without notice.
