Join the husband wife team Clint and Carole Quintal from Naturally Trinbago Eco Expeditions as they share their passion and love of the nature of Trinidad and Tobago.

The Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago were connected to the South American mainland 10,000 years ago, which in turn has made the islands' biota essentially continental in nature.

South America, known to science affectionately as "The Bird Continent," has thus endowed these two special Caribbean Islands with biodiversity, particularly avian biodiversity, that is

unmatched anywhere else in the Caribbean. In fact, with a bird list close to 500 species in an area just under 2,000 square miles, Trinidad and Tobago hosts more bird species per square mile than almost any other place on earth.

Clint Quintal

Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, Clint developed a love of birds and nature at an early age. Hiking the islands' rainforests became a hobby in childhood and an obsession with the islands' birds followed soon after in his late teens. Clint lived in Florida for about 30 years, where he met, fell in love and married Carole and started a family. A former high school teacher and coach, his passion for birding, nature and all things Trinidad and Tobago, lured him into early retirement to start Naturally Trinbago Eco Expeditions.

Carole Quintal

Born in Long Beach, California and raised on Florida's East Coast to a Navy dad from

Pennsylvania and a mom from the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Barbuda, the love of the beach and the Caribbean was inculcated in Carole very early in life. Carole excelled in athletics growing up and played Division 1 Volleyball at the University of Central Florida. She never strayed far from her athletic roots and coached high school and youth volleyball for many years across Central Florida. She also taught high school for 30 years in Merritt Island.
