Wow! Mary has been an active member since the 1990s, and her dedication is truly inspiring! Leading a weekly bluebird monitoring program at Flatwoods Park in Tampa since 2005 shows her unwavering commitment to nature conservation. But wait, her enthusiasm doesn't stop there - her absolute favorite birds are actually HUMMINGBIRDS! Their tiny and beautiful nature, coupled with their mesmerizing aerial acrobatics, never fail to captivate her. Growing up in a nature-loving family instilled in her the importance of protecting our environment. Around 25 years ago, Mary's passion for birding took flight! As the Recycling Coordinator for the Pasco County School District, she not only promoted environmental awareness but also helped schools establish outdoor learning centers. By incorporating native plants to attract birds, insects, and mammals, she demonstrated her dedication to creating harmonious ecosystems. Mary's journey led her to explore the intricate connection between plants and animals, igniting her curiosity to identify various species in their natural habitats. What an incredible journey of passion, dedication, and environmental stewardship!
