Mary Keith

A member of TAS since 1995, Mary served as the Chapter's President from 2015 to 2021. She currently serves as our Conservation Committee Chair. She grew up in rural Pennsylvania where most weekends were spent in state parks and woods with her botanist parents. She has birded all over the world. She is retired from the University of Florida Extension Service, leaving her with more time to lead bird walks, monitor nests and colonies, and participate in Christmas Bird Counts. Her favorite bird is the  swallow-tailed kite; she loves to watch them eat "on the fly" amid a rainfall of glittering dragonfly wings.
